Database Design

Some applications require databases and in many cases these are not websites. While we've written a page on Content Management Systems for dynamic and maintainable websites some of you may be thinking that this covers databases. fortunately databases have many, many applications, not just in content management systems but in; hospitals for patient records, industry for logging data for things like product test failures where the database can be searched and filtered to show patterns in failure rates, which parts fail, why, actions which were taken to correct the failures. This is all done to reduce the overheads and increase the efficiency of the organisation.

Some Info

For most cases databases can use existing technology, such as MySQL and Oracle for these database types which are known as being relational database management systems we generally use entity relationship diagrams to designs the database with normalisation being used in most cases. We're able to implement databases on local machines, over the local company intranet and the internet for multiple client, topologies and clusters. Contact us for more information.
