A little bit about us

vivo systems was founded in 2007 by Philip Elson while studying at University for his Software Engineering Management degree. For the past five years he had been working in Aerospace developing software for ATE equipment but wanted to start something where he could see the benefits his work was giving to clients.

In founding Vivo Systems, the objective was to develop initially as a web development company, and then progress into a software development, offering a number of services to clients. One of the main ideas was to have fun, enjoy it and be your own boss - Vivo is latin for "to live" or "be alive".

In 2007 Vivo Systems launched it's first company website which has gone through a number of iterations before being as it is now. Phil started networking to gain clients and from then on we have had a steady stream of business. One of the interesting areas we didn't look at initially was ad-hoc contract work, but this has also been fruitful, working with great companies like the British Leisure Show, Nginuity LTD and Vizzit Media on software and web based projects.

At the moment search engines, word of mouth and networking are our primary methods of generating business and we are now starting to play with viral marketing and other marketing methods to see what fruits they can bring.

The next step is to branch more into software development, doing both internal projects where we have a couple being developed at the moment and also as a software contractor.

Managing Director, Philip Elson, comments: "So far the Vivo Journey has been exciting, there are so many people out there who need solutions to problems which we can help with - there is a lot more to come from Vivo and as I have found, it's so satisfying to see something you've worked on help other people".
